Elephants are held in high regard, especially in Buddhist countries. They embody luck, majesty, strength, diligence and intelligence. In many respects, however, they are also very similar to us humans: Physical closeness is very important to them, they often touch each other gently with their snouts, they greet a newborn calf with joy and they mourn the loss of relatives. The elephant as a power animal teaches us to give these positive similarities more space in our own lives and to leave destructive feelings such as envy, fear or even hatred behind.
