The first chakra is the root chakra, “Muladhara” in Sanskrit. It embodies grounding, balance, life force, willpower, stability, courage, assertiveness and a general basic trust. When it is blocked, fears develop, depression arises, mistrust, tantrums and a lack of self-confidence and weakness. Its location is in the pelvic floor and its color is a deep red - like coral.
The fragrant sandalwood of the remaining beads has a calming effect on the body and mind. The pearls have a wonderful feel and can occasionally be rubbed with sandalwood oil to intensify the scent.
The root chakra mala necklace is made by our partner factory from 108 beads in one of India's holy cities under fair trade conditions.
The 4-petaled lotus flower, the symbol of the root chakra, is made of brass, the salmon-red tassel is made of cotton.
